So often, we focus on the limitations and restrictions we feel that are placed on us by our physical bodies, especially when we’re in pain. We also focus on the parts that don’t look the way we desire and even those of us who have a good health and high vitality are always looking to improve, thus focus on what needs improving. All of this inhibits joy.
As we grow, this disconnection from ourselves is encouraged by the adult authorities in our lives – our parents, preachers and teachers.
We get told what is healthy, what is good for us, what we should and shouldn’t eat. We become so used to being told what we need, that we lose touch with our inner voice.
Do you find yourself trying to conform to society’s expectations regarding what you wear, what you eat, what you listen to, read etc.?
Many of us love to celebrate how unique we are and how we don’t conform but sometimes the ways in which we conform are so insidious and so hidden that we’re not even aware we’re doing it.
LifeMapping is a personality analysis system that highlights our inherent traits and behaviours and connects us to our highest potential and our lowest potential. More importantly, it reveals areas of tension within our personality which will lead to identification with one side (‘good’ or ‘bad’) or the other. This leads to attempts at showcasing some traits and suppressing others.
